FAQs

How much is my project going to cost me?

Its not hard to believe that this is the most common question that I am asked.  Most of the time my answer will be " I don't know ". You have to understand that all of my work is custom built for each  customer. Until I meet with you and see the space it goes in, know what materials we are going to use, how much detail you want in the project and etc. it would be difficult for me to  give you an accurate price. This is why it is difficult to give a quick price to a client without thoroughly doing my homework on the project. After I have viewed  the jobsite and  know my clients needs and expectations a price can usually be provided in 1 to 3 days .

How long will the project take to complete?

There are two considerations here.  First, how large and detailed your project is and second how busy I am at that time. If I am not busy , it usually takes about a week to make drawings and get details worked out for your approval.  Secondly, for the construction phase a medium sized project requires about 2 to 3 weeks of shop time, installation usually requires 1 to 3 days if there is not a lot of onsite work. Each project will vary and my clients needs are always considered, I will explain my current situation before I take any deposit money.

                   When can you start ?

I can set an appointment to meet with you immediately and start to work on details for a design and a price quote. The start of any work will depend on my prior commitments to customers.

Is there a design fee ?

Yes, making drawings requires time on my behalf and I consider this part of the project.  This will average about $200.00 dollars for most jobs. If the project is large and requires a lot of detailed prints costs will go up. If you contract me for the project your design fee will be deducted from the cost of the job.

Can we use our own design and drawings?

Absolutely, if there is a picture in a magazine that you would like us to copy, or if you have your own drawings or ideas we are very good at making it work for your space requirements.

Do you actually do the work ?

Yes, I am involved from start to finish. I will do the design and computer drawings,  I will personally work on the fabrication in the shop with my two assistants, and I will be at your home or business for the installation phase. I am not the middle man.
